Brief Introduction

Biluochun tea, belonging to green tea, originates in the Dongting Hill of Taihu Lake in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province.One of the most highly prized of the world's teas, Bi Luo Chun is grown in a high mountain garden. In the cup its skillfully handcrafted, downy leaves unfold to produce slightly sweet, velvety yellowish liquor with a lingering, mellow, slightly buttery, finish. A unique, superior tea with much in it to discover and appreciate, it can take multiple infusions.  "Dong Ting Bi Luo Chun" is one of Chinese famous green tea.

Biluochun tea has tender leaves, pure soup, fragrant smell, mellow taste, and is one of the ten Chinese famous teas. It has a long history of more than 1000 years. In the early years, it is called “Extremely Shocking Aroma” among the people. According to the legend, once a nun, in her spring outing, picked some pieces of tea, infused and an aromatic smell greeted the nose, she blurt out, “extremely shocking aroma! ”, there come the name. In the Qing Dynasty of Kangxi, Kangxi Emperor inspected and tasted this famous tea with dark green soup and screw-curled shape. He highly praised this tea, but thought the name was not elegant, so he named it Biluochun. Since then, Biluochun became the annual tribute tea.

 

History:

    There are two mountains in the Suzhou Tai Lake, called Dongshan east mountain and Dongting west mountain, which are famous for its tribute tea Bi Luo Chun (green snail spring literally).

Owing to its scary fragrance, it is first discovered by the farmers in Qing Dynasty. One year, The Emperor Kangxi came to Tai Lake, and enjoyed this tea. He love it very much, and gave it a beautiful name “Bi Luo Chun”. In Chinese, “Bi” means super green, “Luo” means its tight, spiral shape, “Chun” means spring and fresh.
